Hire Shop
· Costumes and accessories hired remain the property of the
· Hire charges and period of hire will be as agreed a the time of booking
· Goods will only be ordered on receipt of 50% of the purchase price
· Alterations and manufacture will only be undertaken after receipt of a deposit, which is non-returnable. Manufactured goods remain the property of the
· Costumes can only be reserved on payment of a booking fee. 50% of the booking fee is refundable if we are notified of cancellation 14 days before the hire date.
· Hire charges must be paid by cash; cheque (with bankers card); credit or debit card. An amount, (minimum £20) usually equal to the hire charge must be left as a deposit when the costume is collected (this can be card details, rather than money).
· No warranty is given as to safety, historical accuracy or suitability for any particular purpose, of any costume. The hire is entirely at the risk of the hirer, to whom we accept no liability whatsoever and who will indemnify us against any liability that we may incur to a third party resulting from the use of the costume by the hirer.
· The deposit is forfeit if the costume is returned after the agreed date; or the costume or any part of the costume is damaged or soiled to an extent greater than is, in our opinion, consistent with reasonable use.
PLEASE NOTE: The deposit does not cover the replacement cost of the costume.

How secure is the website and my credit card details?
The Dressing-Up Box will never actually see any credit card details. All payments are run through PayPal which is a trusted and highly secure monetary system.
When will I receive my order?
If you have selected the standard delivery your purchase should be with you within 3-4 working days; or with the express delivery your purchase will be sent Royal Mail Special Delivery ensuring next day delivery, this method does require a signature. Please note that any order made from lunchtime Saturday will not be dispatched until Monday morning.

Are all your items in stock?
We do our best to keep everything on our site in stock. If for any reason an item is out of stock, we will notify you as soon as possible. (Make sure we have relevant contact details - we probably work the same hours as you!
Do you have a returns policy?
If you are unhappy with your item, please return it to The Dressing- Up Box within 7 days in the same condition it reached you, along with your PayPal order reference and we will process your refund within a week. We will not offer refunds on products that may have been worn, for example wigs.
Will the product be exactly the same as the picture?
All the pictures come from our suppliers. If you order pink, we will send pink, (or contact you to suggest an alternative). However the photo may be blue! We cannot accept responsibility if there is any difference in the image.
